This green area of the city has resisted rampant development and you can escape to a more serene and laid-back pace of life. the quiet roads and raised walkways make This area is great for jumping on a bicycle and is the perfect way to explore this serene and quiet area of Bangkok.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Our local Bangkok guide will meet you at your hotel to start our half-day exploration of Bang Khachao. We will utilize local transport to make our way to the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok's Klong Tuey district where we will cross the Chao Phraya River by long-tail boat. On embarking in Bang Khachao we will pick up our bikes and begin our pedaling and exploration of the lungs of Bangkok. The first thing you will notice is the lack of traffic and greenery which surrounds you, a marked contrast to the hectic Bangkok life you left behind only 15 minutes earlier!! Our route will be flexible depending on your fitness level and desire to bike or sightsee but we will make our way towards the quieter corners of Bang Khachao where narrow raised walkways are the only option to get you around. On route, we will stop by to visit Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park Botanical Garden and the Siamese fighting fish gallery. You will also be treated to a local lunch in the laid-back environment that is Bang Khachao. On route, you will get to visit a small home industry making incense sticks. we will finish the day at Bangkok Tree House with refreshments and local cakes.
If you are doing this trip on a Saturday we will definitely be dropping by the bustling Bang Nam Phueng "Floating Market" This is a market serving the locals and Thai daytrippers from the city and you will find a plethora of interesting foods available here amongst the fresh produce which is also for sale. This is a great place to grab a local lunch!
Note: We will use public transport options to get you to and from the boat pier for the Bang Khachao crossing, you will not be provided with a minibus or private transport. This is a great way to get an up-close view of the real Bangkok. The public transport could be Skytrain, underground train, taxi or tuk-tuk depending on the location of your originating hotel and local availability of transport on the day. We need to be a little flexible on this tour as all factors can not always be controlled please partake in this tour with an open mind and a sense of adventure. Please also note that there is a fair amount of biking on this tour and Bangkok can be hot and tiring so reasonable fitness is required along with an acceptance that you will be biking in hot weather.

• Make our way by public transport to the ferry pier
• Cross the Chao Phraya River to Bang Khachao
• Start pedaling
• Visit Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park Botanical Garden

• Local lunch (at Bang Nam Phueng "Floating Market" on Saturday
• Visit home industry making incense sticks
• Final stop for refreshments at Bangkok Treehouse
• 14:30 we will take the ferry back across the river and make way to your hotel.
